Ways to Make a Little Extra Money Online | brokeGIRLrich

Here at brokeGIRLrich, we’re all about new ways to bring in some more dough. From the more outlandish (like online gambling) to the ones I’ve personally had a lot of success with (blogging), there are more ways to make a little extra money than most people are aware of. While none are a 100% guarantee to making money, all of these can improve the odds of upping your bottom line considerably.

One of the great things about the internet is that it presents a wide range of possibilities for earning a little extra cash, with these being a few of the simplest ways to do so.

Surveys

There are quite a few websites that let you earn extra money by filling in surveys. This can be a great option if you spend a fair amount of time on the internet anyway, as completing the surveys can be combined with your net surfing – ensuring you feel less guilty about being online so much! The surveys vary in length and complexity, with the pay rates usually taking this into account. However it is never going to be beyond your capabilities to fill out one of these things and you can do several in one spell, with pay rates usually up to $3 per survey.

Blogging

If there is a subject that you feel comfortable enough to write regularly about it, you can earn money by adding affiliate links or pay-per-click advertisements to your blog. This is a fantastic way to bring in a bit of additional cash while also enhancing your writing skills and exploring a subject you feel passionate about. Initially at least, the pay is likely to just be pennies, but if your blog starts to get more regular visitors this could increase pretty rapidly. You need to commit the time to posting regularly though, as blogs that are rarely updated do not attract a following. Additionally, great graphics go a long way and sites like Spaces let you generate a logo for free and offer other great tools to help get your site up and running.

Online Casino Gaming

This has become a very popular way to earn money online and you don’t have to be a skilled gambler. The trick, if you are a newbie, is to play games like CasinoOnline.co.nz roulette as these are easy for anyone to master, don’t require you to bet large amounts and offer good payout odds. However, if you are an experienced gambler, games like blackjack, baccarat and poker can reward the greater investment of time with greater financial rewards. You can earn more, sometimes even hundreds of pounds or dollars, from online casino gaming – but remember to quit when you are ahead and set a limit of how much you want to play with in the first place.

Selling

Sites like Amazon and eBay have made it very easy for people to list and sell unwanted items online – and have proven that there is always someone who wants them. The key to successfully selling an item lies in providing a good quality photograph of it, providing honest information about its condition and building a reputation as a reliable seller through customer feedback. How much you can make depends on what you are selling and its condition, but it’s a very quick and easy way to earn money online.

There are lots of ways to earn online, but no sure-fire ways to turn a profit.

    • I actually know plenty of people who have made a few dollars doing it! Although you want to set only a small amount that you’re ok with losing if it doesn’t go your way. Personally, I’m a bigger fan of poker than the straight games of change, since skill can help you out a lot there.

  1. I have been trying the surveys and I hate them. I find my email box flooded with junk, a lot of the companies are pushing questionable products like payday loans, and you have to give out a ton of personal information to even qualify for a paying survey. I know a lot of folks mention them as a way to make money but it doesn’t seem worth it to me.

    • I think side hustling is definitely about finding what you’re comfortable doing!

Although whenever you’re doing something like surveys, I think it helps to open a separate email address to use for that stuff.

  2. Well, I’m definitely partial to blogging, lol, although I have tried all the others you mentioned except the gambling, and they are all very doable. I do think side hustling is going to become more and more popular. And the internet has so many opportunities for making extra money without having to go to the office! 🙂 Thanks for linking up at Frugal Friday!
