At my job as a digital event producer, I sit through a lot of consulting and sales seminars on different topics, but the main one I produce is a workshop on how to improve your remote selling techniques.
I’ve listened to the content for that seminar roughly 40+ times in the last four months, and as I’m prepping to present another personal finance webinar in March, my goal is to work in a few of those techniques I’ve learned.
A key one I want to write about today is to focus on the 10% message. The 10% message is (usually) 3 key points that matter the most in regards to your presentation.
So I was wondering, what do you think are the 3 key points to personal finance?
I currently have it broken down to:
- Know Where You Are
- Know Where You Want to Go
- Spend Less or Earn More to Get There
I didn’t realize how hard it was to make a 10% message until I started to work on it here. I just want to keep adding to it.
And of course, during the webinar, I will. It’s an hour. We have time to discuss some tips on how to achieve those goals.
But the 10% message is what you want people to remember when they walk away from your presentation.
While there could be a lot more personal finance mumbo jumbo in there (and again, there will be in the course of the talk), I’m thinking those points remove the mumbo jumbo and just point out that your finances are like any other trip you can take.
Cause they are. You just have to learn how to read the map.
