I’m kind of a Groupon freak. With all the traveling I do, pretty much any time I have a day off in a new city, I hit up Groupon to see what cool things to do and neat places to eat are nearby (and discounted!).

I also really love coupons. My mom works in the public school system and gets one of those Entertainment books full of local discount coupons for restaurants and retailers in our hometown every year. Then the rest of my family forgets this book exists while I compulsively raid it for $5 off my grocery shopping or 10% off my purchase at Home Depot.

I probably get a little too excited about a really good coupon.

But, come on! $5 is $5. That coupon just paid for my Starbucks habit! Or made me feel less bad about the candy bar I grabbed while waiting in a long line for 25 minutes.

I also find that integrating my basic couponing skills into my day doesn’t take all that much time. I make it a habit to snap up paper coupons for items I know I buy and then a quick Google search for printable coupons often saves me enough to make that worth the 5 minutes I spent.

Recently though, I’ve found one more spot to check out before heading out on any shopping sprees – Groupon Coupons.

They have great coupons like discounted Sam’s Club memberships or 10% off a Starbucks order. There’s also terrific savings at some of my other bad habits retailers I frequent like Target and Kohl’s. Every penny helps, amiright?

I also love vacations (I mean, who doesn’t?) and Groupon Coupons have several for larger travel retailers like Hotwire and CheapOAir and Hotels.com! I love that because those are already discount sites and now you can get an even better deal!

If you’re a crafter, they’ve got Jo-Ann’s!

If you’ve been sucked into the subscription box madness, they’ve got Birchbox!

If you’ve got a trendy teenager in need of a bra, they’ve got Aerie!

Heck, if you’re a blogger, they’ve got GoDaddy!

They are even prepared for tax season, we’ve already gone over how much I love TurboTax – and Groupon knows you probably love them too, you can find a coupon for TurboTax at Groupon Coupons as well!

The list of retailers on Groupon Coupons is insane!

Now maybe you’re an in person shopper and you get a little irritated at all these useless coupon codes, since you don’t shop online. You’re still covered! Groupon Coupon has online and in store options. When you are searching through the stores, you’ll see that many of the stores give you a Use Online or Use In-Store option.

Groupon Coupons also have some terrific deals from lesser known companies like 6 PM (need a new pair of Uggs?), Belk and Gander Mountain. Don’t just search the stores you know – search for what you want to buy!

Don’t leave money sitting on the table when it only takes a few clicks to find awesome and easy to use coupons!

  1. I used to have the group emails delivered daily but not any more – I wish they had more useful stuff that I could use daily other than just restaurants and travel packages, getaways, etc. But for night outs and travel, they’re probably the best, I agree. 🙂

  2. My friend uses Groupon and it seems like a great idea for travelling. I’m really bad at keeping up with checking though. Or I find if I see the discount, I might buy something I wouldn’t have originally. But now that I’m finished school and working as an Apprentice Stage Manager I need to be more careful and frugal with my money.

    • Congrats on finishing school! But yeah, the better you can get with managing your money, the more opportunities you’ll be able to take – you won’t have to ONLY take them because you need the money.

I think the best trick for online coupons is to already know what you’re looking for (like you need new black pants) and then specifically look for Kohl’s discount codes through somewhere like Groupon and then use a rebates portal like eBates and you’ll probably get the best deal you can find.
